i am also offered same job at Lambert, London by Dr. James Evans as nanny to his 4 yrs. old son. is this true?
same things are asked like CV, passport, picture, fees of 800 pounds as our share. i am also given the same email address for the agency where to make the arrangements.
It’s a scam that gets posted all the time here
First of all, non EU citizens cannot work as nannies in the UK. The Au Pair visa was discontinued in November 2008. The ONLY exception is if you worked for the same family overseas for at least 12 months and return to the UK with them
Second, even if this were real, the sponsoring employer has to pay the Home Office to sponsor your visa, not you. The only money you pay is when you have your Home Office approval letter that you take with your passport to VFS to be photographed, fingerprinted, and you pay them the fee. NOBODY ELSE
Third, there is no agency that you would contact. The only people you would have any contact with is VFS in your country. Period. The employer needs to deal with the Home Office in the UK to file a Certificate of Sponsorship. Travel agencies, solicitors, etc, are not authorised to process work visas.
Fourth, no sane person would ever hire a stranger to be a nanny unless they were regsitered with a nanny agency that conducted a full police background check on the nannies. There’s no guarantee a person responding to an internet ad is not a child molestor or has a police record for theft, drugs or anything else. Would you seriously allow a stranger into your home and to watch your 4 year old? Of course not.
All online nanny job offers are SCAMS.
Report this to the site where the job was posted so they can remove the ad. Also report the person contacting you to their ISP to get their email address shut down. Also contact your local police to find out who in your country you can report internet crimes to

The Nanny $9.39
When Jo Green takes a nannying job in London to escape her small-town routine, complicated family, and perfect-on-paper boyfriend Shaun, culture shock doesn’t even begin to describe it. Dick and Vanessa Fitzgerald are the most incompatible pair since Tom and Jerry, and their children – glittery warrior pixie Cassandra, bloodthirsty Zak and shy little Tallulah – are downright mystifying. Suddenly village life seems terribly appealing.

Then, just as Jo’s getting the hang of their designer lifestyle, the Fitzgeralds acquire a new lodger and suddenly she’s sharing her nanny flat with the distractingly good-looking but inexplicably moody Josh. So when Shaun turns up, things get even trickier…
|

What the Nanny Saw $67.99 Nanny required to take care of needs of busy professional London family When penniless student Ali Sparrow answers Bryony and Nick Skinner’s advertisement her life changes overnight. She is catapulted into the privileged and excessive world of London’s financial elite. At first everything is overwhelming – from twins who speak their own language to a teenage girl with weight issues and a son almost her own age. Then there is Bryony, who has one eye on her dazzling career and the other on Ali’s failings. When boom turns to bust and a scandal erupts that suggests something corrupt has been hatched behind the Skinners’ front door, their private life is suddenly public news. And as Ali becomes indispensible, she realizes she’s witness to things she probably shouldn’t see. But is she principled enough to keep the family’s secrets when the press come prowling for the inside scoop? Or will she dish the dirt on the family who never saw her as anything other than part of the scenery? |
