Why MMTC share value was down with record date for split being tomorrow?

Its been declared that MMTC issues bonus and stock split with record date as 30th July 2010. But why was the share value adjusted as per the new face value and bonus issue, today itself….

Purpose BONUS 1:1 AND FACE VALUE SPLIT FROM RS.10 TO RE.1
if Shares had been purchased before 29th july( ex date) will be eligible for bonus shares and split ted shares.
from 29th shares traded are split ted ex bonus shares in range 1850/- to 1750/-
