How do you handle a job application rejection?
I have applied to countless of Asset management firms, investment banks and even just banks. I have a Degree in Software Engineering. But That shouldn’t matter as alot of people have degree’s in subjects like geography and still get the job. Why after like30 to 40 job applications and only one interview am I being rejected? Is it because I’m an international(white South African) in the UK and my accent which isn’t very string puts people off, as i’m not from the homeland? Or is because companies like that only look for status and name of the university they go to – like cambridge and oxford. It kills me when I see someone with a 2:! geography degree getting a job that I know I’m more qualified at – Also taking a Banking and finance degree at LSE?
Has anyone ever actually got the job, and why do you think you got it… How do you guys deal with all this rejection?
it happens to all of us.
One tip I learned – call up and ask to speak to the business manager. It got me a job in a top news agency.

It is a subdiscipline of project management in which software projects are planned, monitored and controlled.he history of software project management is closely related to the history of software. Dedicated systems could be adapted to other uses thanks to Componentbased software engineering. Companies quickly understood the relative ease of use that software programming had over hardware circuitry, and the software industry grew very quickly in the 1970s and 1980s. Hewitt represents many Fortune 500 companies, administering their investment and benefit programs and offering their clients a host of related services, many of them online. Hewitt not only pioneered the use of automated benefit programs, but brought the HR industry into the Internet age by launching a series of online programs and software packages. Edwin “Ted” Hewitt founded Edwin Shields Hewitt and Associates on October 1, 1940, as a brokerage house focusing on insurance and personal financial services. It was a heady time in the United States; population had grown to 132 million, the economy was robust, and President Franklin Delano Roosevelt was reelected for a record third term. Unfortunately, the war raging in Europe was about to bring the United States into what became World War II.
