In Lost, Josh Holloway plays the part of crash survivor 'bad boy' James 'Sawyer' Ford. Sawyer had a tragic childhood and was a con artist before the crash. On the island, Sawyer is best known for both his selfishness and his insistance on calling his brethen by (often nasty) nicknames.
